An FAAC automated sliding gate opens the passage with the leaf moving to the left or right, easily and safely. The leaf must always be supported by appropriate systems that prevent tilting or derailment.
Sliding gates can be made with different materials, shapes and sizes.
The sliging movement usually takes place with a guide fixed to the ground and wheels fixed to the gate itself.
How do you choose the right solution?
There are two selection criteria: the weight of the leaf and the type of use. Sliding gates for residential use are usually lighter (weighing up to 1100 lb) and are not opened frequently per day. The 740 is perfect for this application.
For more frequent use, weight up to 1300 lb, and the quietest movement, the 746 E R is the ideal solution.
Industrial gates, which are usually larger and heavier, are automated with a drive such as the 844 E R.

In an emergency, the 24V operators can run on battery back-up, without manually unlocking the gates, so there is no interruption in function. The C720 models for gates up to 875 lb or the C721 for gates up to 1750 lb are both compatible for.
Less consumption, more performance.
All models for residential use include the SAFEzone safety function that allows the gate to immediately re-open when it encounters an obstacle.
